Terms & Conditions
Last updated: January 14, 2026
Welcome
These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between you (the "Client") and DT Designs ("we", "us", or "our") when you use our design services.
By enquiring about, booking, or paying for our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before getting started.
Services We Offer
We provide brand identity design, web design, design systems, and related creative services. The specific scope of work for each project will be outlined in a separate project proposal or contract.
What we deliver depends on the package or service you book. All deliverables and timelines will be agreed upon before work begins.
How Projects Work
1. Enquiry & Discovery
You submit an enquiry form or reach out via email. We'll review your project and schedule a discovery call (if needed) to discuss your goals, timeline, and budget.
2. Proposal & Agreement
If we're a good fit, we'll send you a project proposal outlining the scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing. Once you approve and sign, we're officially working together.
3. Payment
Payment terms will be outlined in your proposal. Depending on the project, we offer:
Pay in full upfront
Two-payment plan (50% upfront / 50% on completion)
Three-payment plan (40% upfront / 30% midway / 30% on completion)
Monthly retainer payments (for ongoing work)
We accept payments via bank transfer or secure payment links. Work begins once the initial payment is received.
4. Design Process
We'll keep you updated throughout the project with regular check-ins, concept presentations, and revision rounds (as outlined in your proposal). Your feedback is essential to getting the final result right.
5. Revisions
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds. Additional revisions beyond what's included may incur extra fees. We'll always communicate this clearly before proceeding.
6. Final Delivery
Once the project is complete and final payment is received, we'll deliver all agreed-upon files in the formats specified in your proposal.
Intellectual Property & Ownership
Your Content
Any materials you provide (photos, text, logos, etc.) remain your property. By sharing them with us, you grant us permission to use them solely for your project.
Our Work
Once final payment is received, you own the final design files we've created specifically for your project. However:
You may not resell, redistribute, or claim our work as your own creation
We retain the right to showcase the work in our portfolio, case studies, and marketing materials (unless otherwise agreed)
Any design processes, templates, or working files remain our intellectual property
Third-Party Assets
If we use stock photos, fonts, or other third-party assets in your project, you're responsible for purchasing the appropriate licenses if required. We'll advise you on this during the project.
Client Responsibilities
To keep projects on track, we need you to:
Provide clear information: Share accurate details about your business, goals, and project requirements
Respond in a timely manner: Reply to emails and provide feedback within agreed timeframes
Provide necessary materials: Supply any content, images, or brand assets we need to complete the work
Make timely payments: Stick to the agreed payment schedule
If delays on your end push the project timeline, we may need to reschedule or adjust deadlines accordingly.
Cancellations & Refunds
Before Work Begins
If you need to cancel before we start working on your project, we'll refund your deposit minus a 15% admin fee.
After Work Begins
Once work has started, deposits and payments made are non-refundable. If you choose to cancel mid-project, you'll receive the work completed up to that point, but no refunds will be issued.
Our Right to Cancel
We reserve the right to cancel or pause a project if:
Payments are not made on time
Communication breaks down or the client becomes unresponsive for more than 14 days
The working relationship becomes unproductive or disrespectful
In these cases, you'll receive the work completed up to that point, and any remaining payments will be settled based on work done.
Timeline & Delays
We will provide an estimated project timeline in your proposal. While we do our best to stick to deadlines, timelines may shift due to:
Delays in receiving client feedback or materials
Scope changes or additional requests
Unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergencies, etc.)
We'll always communicate any changes to the timeline as soon as possible.
Confidentiality
We respect your privacy. Any confidential information you share with us during the project (business plans, unreleased products, etc.) will be kept private and will not be shared with third parties.
If your project requires an NDA, we're happy to sign one before work begins.
Limitation of Liability
We will always do our best to deliver high-quality work, but we can't be held responsible for:
How you use the final designs after delivery
Technical issues with third-party platforms or hosting providers
Loss of business or revenue due to project delays
Our liability is limited to the total amount you've paid for the specific project in question.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify active clients via email. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
Disputes
We hope it never comes to this, but if a dispute arises, we'll work together to resolve it professionally and fairly. If we can't reach an agreement, disputes will be handled under the laws of England and Wales.
